Notice Anything Different?

Look at my sidebar!!

----------------------------->

I've recently applied for, and been accepted to several Creative Teams! I now design layouts for Laura Burger at 3Scrapateers, Jeannie Papai at Digital Freebies, and Debra at goDigitalScrapbooking.com! I am so excited, and I have been having a blast meeting other CT members, and creating layouts for these uber-talented designers!

Here, take a look!

Laura has just released a new kit, called "Secrets." You can buy it here!

Warm Fuzzy Feelings

I got the best text message from my SIL the other day. It was something to this effect:

"I've always wanted to tell you that...Fill in the blank, reply, then send this to all your friends and learn something about yourself!"

Now, I almost never participate in text forwards, but I thought this one might be fun. So I sent it off to my bestest and closest friends. Almost everyone replied, and all the responses were so nice to read. I sometimes forget how lucky I am to have such good friends, and such a loving family. I am truly blessed, and loved more than I deserve!

So maybe not all text forwards are a bad idea. Try this one - it will make your day!

Speaking of love and family, I made a few more pages. I know I'm late, but I did promise birthday pictures!

Kids

Not birthday related, but I also did a layout for my desktop. I wanted it to look like somthing that would actually be on my desk, although this is a little neater than real life!

My Baby's Two Today!

My little Alex is not so little anymore. Today he turns two. We had a great birthday picnic party in the park, followed by hiking on the walking trails. There was much swingling, playing, and laughing involved. He's not old enough to understand what birthdays mean just yet, but he was very happy with all his new toy cars all the same. May all your birthday wishes come true, my little man!

Oh yeah, today is my birthday too, but we won't mention that ;) I'll post pics tomorrow!

Making Memories

As I go through all my pictures to find good ones to scrap, I'm finding more and more great pics that I forgot I had! Ya'll are gonna get sick of me posting all my pages! I did get two more made, so now each of the kids has at least one of their own. I found so many cute ones that I will be scrapping soon!

Feeling Sentimental...

While putting off housework today, I was playing with Alex and missing my girls (who were in school at the time). All the scrapbooking I've been doing lately has gotten me in the "mommy" mood. Sometimes I don't think I do a good enough job with the kids, and I need to remember to make sure they know how much I love them. The oncoming autumn propels those feelings, too. There's just something about fall...the light changes. Everything is warm and glittery. It's a great "family" season! I just want to grab the kids and go outside.

With this feeling in mind, I made a couple of pages with fall colors, focusing on my solemn love for my kids. As I practice this new craft, and learn more techniques, I feel that I am developing my own style. I really like these pages, much more than my first few "practice" ones.

I Won!

I've been stalking scrapping blogs with the discovery of my new craft, and discovering so many talented designers! One of my favorites, Mindy Terasawa, was having a "Name Those Papers" contest with the release of her latest kit, so I sent in my suggestion. Much to my surprise, she picked mine! When I saw the colors, it just whispered "Cosmopolitan" to me. I think it's the perfect name for this kit, and I am so honored that she chose it! As a prize, I got the kit for free :D Now off to create some fabulous pages...

You can see her blog entry here
and purchase her kit here.
Be sure to check out her other gorgeous kits!
